“America’s Got Talent” judge Sofia Vergara joked that she sometimes feels insecure around her fellow judge, Heidi Klum.

The 50-year-old actress compared herself to Klum, 49, in an interview with Fox News Digital after the season 17 finale of the talent competition show Wednesday night.

“I mean, Heidi Klum, have you seen her? It’s like, gosh, she’s a supermodel!” Vergara on the red carpet at the Sheraton Pasadena Hotel in Pasadena, California.

“Where is he?” Vergara asked. “I try to do the red carpet when she’s gone. Even when I wear the highest heels!”

At the end of the show on Wednesday, the Lebanese all-woman dance group Mayas was announced as the winner of Season 17. Australian pole dancer Christy Sellers was runner-up, marking the first time the top two spots were won by women.

As the winners of “AGT”, the group will receive a $1 million prize and a headline show in Las Vegas.

Vergara told Fox News Digital that she was “very excited” for the Mayans. “I think I trained them or something like that because I get so attached to them,” she said.

She continued, “I was so excited for them. I think these girls not only deserved to be on ‘AGT’, but I think they deserved to win as well.”

“They are so good, the amount of work behind their performances is unmatched by anyone,” she said.

Vergara also weighed in on what it takes to win “AGT”. “Creativity, talent, good luck.”

“And that America falls in love with them”.

Klum told Fox News Digital that he also believed America had done it right. “They were incredible. Like, I said earlier, they were ready for Vegas. I think they’re a wonderful addition to ‘AGT’ in Las Vegas”.

“There’s already an amazing show with so many of our favorites from the past and they’ll be joining now and I think it will be even more amazing.”

Klum said seeing Maiya perform for the first time during the audition was her favorite moment of the season. “They’re just magical,” she explained.

“Usually you see dancers and it’s just like they’re flat on the ground. They’re always stacking on top of each other, creating new shapes and things, you know. It was a surprise here and there. But a ‘Wow’.”

“They really brought something special to the show,” she said.

The former Victoria’s Secret Angel also provided an update on her daughter, Lenny, who recently started her first year of college in New York City. Apart from attending college, Lenny is also following in her mother’s footsteps as she pursues a career in modeling.

“She’s doing double duty right now, she’s doing all that,” Klum said. “And next week, we’re flying to Milan for Milan Fashion Week. She’s working there so I’m excited to go there and see her. It’s fun.”

Klum recently reunited with her daughter in Manhattan as they attended the Daily Front Row Awards together during New York Fashion Week.

“AGT” judge Simon Cowell reported that he predicted Maya would win the contest.

“It was like a wave, wasn’t it? Just sheer brilliance and joy and awe,” he told Fox News Digital.

“Something we’ve never seen before. I think everyone who experienced it just got blown away,” he said.

“I heard how many hours they had to put into this,” Cowell continued. “There’s a lot of people in the group.”

Cowell described the group’s performance on the night of the final as “breaktakingly good”.

During the semifinals last week, “AGT” judge Howie Mandel announced that Mya was the best performance she had ever had in all her years on the show.

“And apparently, I’m not alone,” he told Fox News Digital. “I think America did it right and I’m so excited that they won. I’m so excited that the world seems excited about something I’m so excited about.”

He continued, “And when I say that the world, if you look at it digitally, there are hundreds and millions of clicks on YouTube and Facebook, and anywhere else.”

“Everyone wants to see them and now people have the opportunity to go to Vegas, Luxor and watch them live. They’re only worth the price of admission alone but we have the full ‘AGT Live’ show.”

“Maya totally deserves it,” said “AGT” host Terry Crews during her post-show interview with Fox News Digital.

“They changed dance forever,” he continued. “It’s a whole new genre. I think people are going to copy it. They’re going to try to do their version of Maya but you have to go to Vegas to see Maya forever.”

Crew praised the group for facing adversity in their country while working on their task.

“They come from such adversity. I mean, at times they could only rehearse for an hour because they only had electricity for an hour,” he explained.

“People don’t even know everything they went through in Lebanon. And to come here, and to be the “AGT” champion and now have a home in Vegas where they can make the act bigger and better. It’s fantastic.”

Crews said they believed the group’s act was the “right theme” for the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas, which is home to the “America’s Got Talent Las Vegas Live” show.

“It’s going to be very romantic and beautiful and fabulous,” he said.

“I can’t wait to get my wife.”
