Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet Won’t Be HRHs. Meghan and Harry Are Reportedly Furious.

In what is perhaps the last of first world problems, King Charles is not expected to give HRH honors to Harry and Meghan Markle’s children, but they will become prince and princess, it has been reported.

Sunday There are reports that the new arrangement, which will formalize the names of Prince Archie and Princess Lillibet, is expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Lillibet finally meets her grandfather, Prince Charles

According to a custom that began in 1917, the title of prince or princess is given to the grandchildren of the king. There are no great-grandchildren, but an exception is made for the grandchildren of the heir to the throne, which is why the children of the Cambridges are known as Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

This is why students at the unwritten British convention have declared that Meghan was wrong when she said in her interview with Oprah Winfrey that her children were unfairly denied a title.

However, if she is not given the title now that her grandfather is the king, she would be quite right. And perhaps, his supporters would say, that’s what he meant.

There is no doubt that their children would automatically become HRH under the 1917 rules.

Equally, it cannot be denied that it would be very strange if Archie and Lillibet were publicly using the title HRH when their parents were told not to do so, and agreed to that request.

King Charles’ office declined to comment on The Daily Beast’s report. The Sussex office has been contacted for comment.

Although Sunday says that the decision not to have Archie and Lillibet as Her Royal Highnesses (HRH) has angered the children’s parents.

Sunday A source was quoted as saying: “Harry and Meghan were concerned about the security issue and that being prince and princess entitles them to some level of royal security. There’s been a lot of conversation over the past week. But they have been insisting that Archie and Lillibet are prince and princess. They have been relentless since the Queen’s death. But they are incensed that Archie and Lillibet cannot take the title of HRH. This is the agreement – they are princes And there can be princesses but not HRH because they are not members of the royal family.”

There are many other non-working royals who are definitely HRH. Prince Andrew’s daughters Beatrice and Eugenie have spring on their mind.

If the palace now wishes to change the rules, going forward, to limit the issuance of HRH to “working royals” as opposed to the monarch’s grandchildren, it certainly has the right to do so. But it would represent a significant change.

And the only people to lose (at least until Louis and Charlotte have kids) will be Harry’s children.

Doesn’t look that good either.
