Prince Harry appears to stop singing ‘God Save the King’ during Queen’s funeral

Prince Harry has come under fire from royal fans after he stopped singing “God Save the King” at the end of his grandmother’s funeral.

Harry’s biographer, Angela Levine, was among many who retweeted a clip The Duke of Sussex, 38, appears to have been sung by people around him to pay tribute to his estranged father.

It showed King Charles III in tears as Westminster Abbey erupted into an enthusiastic chorus of “God Save the King” to bring Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral to an emotional end.

King did not sing the anthem, which is a reverence to him – and seemingly neither did Harry, who was shown standing right behind him, staring forward with his mouth closed for the final 10 seconds of the tribute.

A clip of the last 10 seconds of the anthem shows Harry’s lips unmoving while the other royals around him apparently sang “God Save the King”.

Before the close-up shot, a wider angle showed the other royals singing the anthem in tribute to Harry’s father, King Charles III.

Queen Consort Camilla was clearly singing until the end, as were Charles’ sister, Princess Anne, and her husband, Vice Admiral Timothy Lawrence. King’s disgraced brother Andrew was also rolling his face at the shot, as were his daughters behind him.

An earlier shot also showed the other senior royals – including Harry’s one-time close brother, Prince William, and his family – all apparently singing.

It was not immediately clear whether Harry’s wife, fellow royal critic Meghan Markle, 41, was singing a tribute to her father-in-law, with a candle blocking her mouth in the now-viral clip.

An insider close to Harry also insisted that the detached royal actually sang the anthem, despite the now-viral clip.

However, both he and his wife uttered the words clearly when the latter sang at the Queen’s Commitment Service in Windsor.

Still, royal guards have criticized the self-exiled prince, accusing him of neglecting the new king despite his promise to “respect” him last week.

“Total, complete, disrespect for your father, nation, crown and monarch,” UK Veteran Mike Murphy tweeted With a series of angry face emojis.

“Deprive him of all his royal titles and funding. How much would Netflix want her then,” he asked about the million-dollar media deals since the Duke and Duchess left the UK and royal life.

One veteran accused Harry of “absolute, utter disrespect for his father”.

Others have also insisted that it was an apparent hesitation by Harry of his father, whom he blames for bringing “pain and suffering” – which ultimately led to his decision to flee to California with his actress wife.

“If he tried he couldn’t be abusive anymore,” a royal watchman tweetedwhereas another famous It’s supposed to be like “Extremely weird when the king is your father and you’re sitting right behind him.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were in the UK for a rare visit when Queen Elizabeth II died. But the exiled royal learned of his grandmother’s death only five minutes before the palace’s official announcement.

Harry was then forbidden from wearing his military uniform to his grandmother’s funeral, where he sat notably away from his brother, 40-year-old new heir William.

While William’s eldest children were front and center at the ceremony, Harry and Meghan are said to be “furious” that their own children, Archie, 3, and Lillibet, 1, cannot receive the title of Her and Her Royal Highness .
