Rachel and Zach Come Face-to-Face After He Suggests Their Romance Was Fake

On a Tuesday, September 13 episode of the ABC series, a 26-year-old tech executive asked Rachel, 26, to speak before the rose ceremony.

“All I want to say is that I apologize for making you feel like forever that I called you out to be your character,” he began. “That’s the last thing I wanted. I was in a sense of shock and disbelief at what was happening between the two of us. I’m sorry.”

Rachel immediately apologized as well. “It was really hard for me to look back,” she said, adding that her feelings for Zach were “real.”

When the host pressed for date details on Fantasy Suite, Zach said it felt “immediately closed” between the couple. Looking back, he feels like Rachel knew she wasn’t what she did.

“It started very early in Fantasy Suites … and it just took off. [We’re] Two very different people,” he said.

Rachel clarified that she didn’t mean to “accuse” Zach of not being ready for the wedding. “I wasn’t trying to make that weird,” she said. “There was a miscommunication.”

When asked if he has any “regrets,” Zach said no, adding that he “will never forget” his memories with The Bachelorette.

“I really hope you are happy and I always wish the best for you,” he concluded.
