The new live-action remake of The Little Mermaid is here, and we have a first look.

D23 is well underway, and all the announcements fans are hoping will start rolling out one by one. Every year, this convention brings with it the kind of excitement that can rock the entire entertainment industry. From new projects within Disney Hall of Legends, such as The Lion King And MulanTo give fans a glimpse of what to expect from the future for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans wait for pins and needles for the next announcement. One of the more exciting items yet to come out of D23 Hall is a teaser trailer for the latest Hall of Legends project, the live-action version of which the little Mermaid, starring Halle Bailey. The trailer features her voice singing the iconic “Part of Your World”, leaving fans gasping for more.
The trailer features Bailey’s updated costume (without a seashell bra and longer, more regal fins) floating through her collection of Thingmajigs and whatchamacolites with the music that every Disney fan knows, building up to a fabulous moment. Bailey is then seen staring at the surface and singing the always familiar words for “part of your world”. While it doesn’t give us a look at the rest of the cast or much of the plot, the first teaser trailer answers one of the questions we’ve all been asking. Can Halle Bailey pull off an underwater princess? His voice replied with a loud yes! More trailers are to come, but this first glimpse gives us all hope that Disney’s live-action remake Factory may be a future hit.

Halle Bailey is doing what it takes to prove the trolls wrong. When she was originally announced as the lead, she faced backlash in the form of racist comments and hatred for her hair.
